Joining the Toowoomba Pistol Club

Joining a pistol club is your first step towards obtaining a pistol licence and eventually obtaining your own competition pistol.

The legal restrictions affecting participation in our sport are significant and can take considerable time and effort.  To ensure the future of our sport we ensure as a Club and as individual shooters we follow the required rules.

While the process may seem complex and slow we encourage you to persevere for the opportunity to regularly participate in this sport and enjoy the cameraderie of your fellow shooters.

For Category H Weapons Licence holders

If you are a current holder of a Category H weapons licence and wish to join our Club you will need to obtain a Transfer Certificate from your current club.

Membership and Range Fees

PLEASE NOTE

This information is current at the time of publication of this page.  To ensure you have the latest requirements for licensing please visit the Qld Police Weapons Licensing website.

Annual membership of the Toowoomba Pistol Club is payable by 30 June each year.  The club strives to keep this fee as low as possible and reviews the amount each year to ensure it provides excellent value to members.  Please contact the Secretary for membership fee information as it reflects your time of joining so that you do not pay the full fee if joining for part of a financial year.

The membership covers your attendance at the club and access to the facilities as well as mandatory affiliation and insurance with Pistol Shooing Qld and Pistol Australia.

No additional range fees are payable each time you attend the club.  So the more you shoot...the better value your membership!  Range fees are applicable to visitors to the range and for people undertaking a Come & Try.  If you do not have your own pistol there is a club gun hire fee payable by members or guests.

As a member driven club we rely on each other to maintain the club's facilities.  Regular working bees are held and your participation is expected as a responsible member of the club.  Member contribution is a major part of keeping our membership fees as low as possible.
